A patient with thoracic empyema on the right.
The ultrasound examination found an encapsulated hyperechoic fluid collection with indications of septa. Thoracic drainage of the encapsulated fluid was performed under ultrasound guidance, a purulent effusion was found, and cytology confirmed empyema.
