The patient was admitted to hospital due to a spontaneous partial pneumothorax on the left.


On the ultrasound it shows a pleural line, but we cannot see „lung sliding“. When breathing from the left side we see „lung sliding“ and the „lung point“ - the point between normal „lung sliding“ and its absence.





ChW - Chest Wall
LS - „lung sliding“ - the movement of the visceral pleura after the parietal
LP - „lung point“ - the point between normal „lung sliding“ and its absence
PL - Pleural line
