The ultrasonographic examination from the ventral left parasternal approach shows a tumour mass pressing down on the large vessels. Biopsy with a true-cut needle carried out under ultrasound guidance in real time; the tip of the needle is constantly kept under control at a safe distance from the large vessels. Histology confirmed thymoma.
