The patient is admitted for treatment of the progression of interstitial pulmonary disease, a biopsy of the lung performed via video-assisted thoracoscopy, histology - severe pulmonary fibrosis, non-UIP type, along with fibrotic changes in the pulmonary artery.

On the ultrasound examination numerous
B-lines are shown, which are present in interstitial lung diseases. B-lines are artefacts arising on the basis of the expansion of subpleural interlobular septa. They have the following characteristics:
1. artefact in the shape of a comet
2. Arising from the pleural line
3. Hyperechoic
4. Similar to a laser beam
5. Without weakening they move through the whole sector
6. They move with „lung sliding“
7. With the appearance of B-lines, A-lines disappear (B-lines 'delete' A-lines)
