On the ultrasound we can see signs of alveolar consolidation („shred sign“). „Lung pulse“ is present - transmitted pulsation from the heart contractions and the disappearance of „lung sliding“, a sign of exudative inflammation.
The „shred sign“ is a non-homogeneous hypoechoic shredded structure, blurry, as if it has been shredded to demarcate the surrounding area.
